After receiving her BFA in Dance from York University in Toronto, she completed her Pilates certification through The Physicalmind Institute in New York in 1999, became a certifying studio five years later, and in 2008 she became head of the Physicalmind Institute for Canada.
Marta teaches Pilates certification courses in British Columbia and Alberta, and maintains a busy private practice in Vancouver BC.
Stephen has been teaching Pilates since 1999. He was first introduced to Pilates in the mid 70’s as part of his Dance training. He was drawn to it years later when he was recovering from a knee and back injury and sought it as part of his rehabilitation. Stephen has used his extensive background in movement, exercise and Pilates to train elite athletes and professional dancers to enhance their performance. He is also experienced with working with the novice exerciser and finds that no matter what level of fitness a person is at, they can benefit from this work.
